IMMUNOASSAY DEVELOPMENT SCIENTIST

Fleet Bioprocessing Ltd. is an expert provider of contract immunoassay development services. Due to the company’s expansion, the company is looking to recruit a full-time development scientist to be based in the Reading/north Hampshire area. The role involves the development of immunoassays to world class standards and to customer specifications. The candidate will be experienced, able to work under their own initiative and to high quality standards, and must have at least 5 years experience of immunoassay development. Salary £26-30K.

We are looking for someone who has a solid practical background in assay development, ideally including colorimetric microplate ELISAs but with experience of other immunoassay platforms, and with some commercial awareness of the clinical diagnostics business. We are definitely looking for someone who is keen to spend a large part of their time doing practical work and experimental design, under their own initiative - but the role will also require a significant amount of communication with our customers, including technical discussions and report writing. Some UK and overseas travel may be required.

All of our activities are carried out under ISO9001 and ISO13485, therefore we need someone who can reliably follow procedures and accurately document their work.
