The Immune System: Nature's 'Self' Defence

Our guide to the immune system 'Nature's "Self" Defence' is available as a downloadable PDF, including a selection of questions submitted by secondary students with answers provided by professional immunologists.

Welcome Aboard from the BSI

The immune system, in all its guises, is a fascinating structure - the product of millions of years of evolution. However, understanding all of its subtleties is often difficult for those first making its acquaintance, as there seems to be far too much going on at once to take everything in!

Nature's "Self" Defence is our online beginner's guide to the immune system. You can also download the posters shown below for further information.
